An ancient Japanese healing art that promotes deep relaxation and balances the body's energy on a physical and emotional level through the use of universal love energy.  Reiki involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to patient to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy and relaxation. Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to relax, heal and harmonise. Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced. In Reiki the healer places the hands gently on the recipient, the recipient draws the energy as needed.  Some forms of Reiki use sounds, symbols and words, some are of a higher vibration than others, some help to re-introduce ourselves to the goodness of our own personal power by connecting us to various Ascended Masters and still others use the metaphysical gifts associated with fire to shed some light on our lives and spiritual paths.
